  Zasia Hossain Tishe is a PhD candidate in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Monash University, Australia, with a strong foundation in pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and inflammation research. She previously conducted multidisciplinary research on inflammatory disease models, gene polymorphisms, and drug development, contributing to several peer-reviewed publications . Her current work focuses on microfluidic colon-on-a-chip systems and microbial biofilm dynamics to explore gut microbiome-based therapies

  

• Samin (Tabassom) Tokasi (PhD Student, June 2025 - present)

  Samin has a strong curiosity about the microscopic world, she is passionate about exploring biomedical applications, particularly the roles of microorganisms and cells in health and disease. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at Monash University, where her research focuses on engineering microbial communities to develop innovative gut microbiome therapies. Beyond the lab, Samin enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with friends.
